DAILY ACTIVITY ENGLSIH VERSION eps.2 Part. 13

 hello hello fellow bloggers...

In the third final, in the final week of practice here, in the prk course or (knowledge of bread and cakes) we were asked to make a saher torte, which before making this I will explain to you what a saher torte is, what is the terminology for saher torte !!!

Sachertorte is a type of chocolate cake, or torte created by Austrian Franz Sacher in 1832 for Prince Wenzel von Metternich in Vienna, Austria. This cake is one of the most famous Viennese specialties. December 5th is declared National Sachertorte Day. History

Origin

Recipes similar to the Sachertorte appeared in the early 18th century, one example of a recipe is found in Conrad Hagger's cookbook in 1718, another recipe is in a cookbook written by Gartler-Hickmann in 1749 entitled Wienerisches bewährtes Kochbuch.

In 1832, Prince Wenzel von Metternich ordered his personal chef to create a special dessert for the prince's important guest. The head chef was ill at the time, so the task of creating the dessert fell to Franz Sacher who was then an apprentice at the age of 16, and was in his second year of training in Metternich's kitchen. The Prince is reported to have declared, "Don't embarrass me tonight!" The torte Sacher had made on that occasion had delighted Metternich's guests; the dessert served did not immediately gain attention. Sacher completed training as a chef and then spent time in Bratislava (Pressburg) and Budapest. In the end he returned to his hometown of Vienna, and opened a cafe.

Sacher's eldest son, Eduard, continues his father's culinary legacy. When he finished his training in Vienna, he perfected his father's recipe and developed the torte into what it is sold today. This cake was first served at Demel and then at the Hotel Sacher founded by Eduard in 1876. Since then, this cake has remained a specialty of Viennese cuisine.

Those are some brief explanations of how shaer torte can develop.

after knowing the terminology of saher torte then I and my group friends made the dough or the cake then after it was finished I made chocolate ganach and my friend made simple syrup then I smeared it on the cake and also put some pineapple jam on top then covered with chocolate ganach, after that I also making chocolate glaze which is the last part of the saher torte where chocolate glaze is poured on the finished saher torte, and yup then we wrap it in a cake box.

how is the appearance of this saher torte friends? beautiful, right? thank you

see you again at the end of the final practice we see you >o<
